On October 17, 2008, Paula Poolton vanished, and her body was discovered 11 days later in the trunk of her vehicle at a nearby train station. Investigations uncovered that Paula was involved in an affair with Roger Kearney. On the night of her disappearance, Kearney claimed he had dinner and watched TV with his partner before heading to work at the post office. Despite the absence of forensic ties to the crime, he was found guilty of murder.
