Episode Overview

In this series, American logger Sean Vann embarks on a quest to establish a new logging venture in the icy forests of Siberia. With 17 years of experience logging in Russia, Vann secures a contract to harvest timber from the largest forest on Earth. He persuades a group of loggers from Montana and Oregon, facing a downturn back home, to venture into the frigid Siberian wilderness. There, they'll work alongside a Russian crew with a vastly different perspective and approach to logging. As the two teams navigate challenging conditions, confront hostile villagers, and cross the Trans-Siberian Railway in a storm, they prepare to tackle the timber that could change their lives.
